SportFEST guarantees a good time for all with the competitions and games that are held in Charleston, WV each year. The events usually occur in the month of August with talented competitors who complete stunts like you’ve never seen before. These events are only in town once a year so take full advantage of the opportunity to take in some fresh air while watching these unique games.

The Firefighters Challenge is designed to demonstrate how professional firefighters are trained to handle their job. The challenges they are faced with include climbing a five story tower, hoisting, chopping, dragging hoses and rescuing a “victim” that weighs 175 pounds and much more. These obstacles show the strength that many firefighters have and will do anything to stop harm from being done.

Water sports are very popular here in West Virginia and the watercraft races promote safe and responsible ways to operate a personal water vehicle. This competition takes place in the Kanawha River were many registered drivers can show off their talented driving and also display positive attitudes. Come have fun and watch the watercrafts splash and zoom around in the Kanawha River.

The capital city is blessed with a beautiful area along the river where the Extreme Volleyball Professionals gather. Magic Island has a magnificent sand court where many top volleyball athletes are introduced. Along with the introduction you will have an opportunity to meet the tour staff and also see your match placement.
